Adult Education

Temple Beth El offers a wide variety of Adult Education activities, from Torah Study and Adult B’nai Mitzvah to film showings, book discussions, and guest lectures.

Here’s a sampling of our Adult Education offerings:

Monday Night Torah with Phil Lazzar
Mondays from 6-7pm on Zoom
Community member Phil Lazzar leads weekly classes on Jewish topics on Monday evenings at Temple Beth El. This week’s class information can be found on the calendar.

Intro to Judaism with Phil Lazzar
Wednesdays from 6-7pm on Zoom
All are welcome. Each week we look into the basics of Judaism including our sacred literature, holidays, and teachings of our sages of blessed memory.
The class is open to everyone but especially geared to those with little or no background. Questions are encouraged.

Saturday Morning Torah Study
Saturdays at 8:30am on Zoom
Join us every Saturday morning at 8:30 AM for Nosh ‘n Drosh, a lively, member-led discussion of the week’s Torah portion. Previous experience unnecessary; everyone is welcome.

Listening Circle with Emily Siegel, LCSW & Rabbi Bob Rottenberg
Every 2nd & 4th Sunday from 4-5pm
This is a supportive Zoom space to listen and be heard about anti-Semitism, the current Middle East political situation, and any other concerns. If interested, call Emily Siegel at 707-845-2401 by noon on the Sunday of the first group you want to attend for a short chat and to give Emily your email so she can send you her Zoom link.
