How to Play Mah Jong

Mah Jong is a tile game which originated in China and became "American Mah Jong in the early 1900's. It started to be very popular among Jewish women during WWII and continue to be that way nowadays. Even though you may remember a mother or a grandmother throwing the tiles while shuffling them, it is open to everybody inclined to learn how to play. Commonly three to four players play a game together. A friend of Betty Sherman, Sue Oringer an experienced player and instructor will be teaching a series of four consecutive classes.

Enjoy participating in this fun and mentally stimulating activity, where strategy and calculation are involved with a degree of chance.

Note: All the instructions and rules will be given on the first day of class make sure to be present as there is a lot to learn.
