Temple Beth El is happy to have as our guest, Cantor Lisa Levine, who will lead a workshop from 11 AM to noon at TBE.
Yoga Shalom: Nourishing the Mind, Body and Spirit
Yoga Shalom is a creative journey through prayer in which we discover our inner voice by nourishing our mind, body and spirit. Yoga Shalom is accompanied by beautiful and stirring music designed to intensify the mind/body experience and open the heart. Through deep breathing, gentle yoga postures, yoga flow, moving meditations, chants and deep relaxation we bring ourselves into a peaceful state of rest and renewed vitality. Yoga Shalom can be done in a chair and is great for people with chronic pain, arthritis, depression or in mourning. Open your heart and spirit to blessing and renewal with Yoga Shalom: Nourishing the Mind, Body and Spirit. Participants should wear comfortable clothing; bring a yoga mat or towel and a bottle of water.
Cantor Levine’s workshops include an embodiment of the Torah parshah. Saturday, July 20, 2013 is Shabbat Nachamu – Shabbat of Comfort.
Cantor Lisa Levine received her BA at UC Irvine and her Master’s in Sacred Music from Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion.
